Tattoo

I think I have finally decided where I am going to get my first tattoo.

On my wrist.

I already know what it will be. I drew it. And, I’ll be able to add more to it throughout the years if I want to.

I have the guy lined up to do it. His name is Ian. He is a relative of some former church members. He does great work. One time at one of our small groups he divulged that he wondered how Biblical it was for him to do tatoos. They discussed it in detail, everyone giving their view. I wish I would have been there for that!

Several months ago he came into my work place and we talked about it for a few minutes. He was kinda shocked that I wanted to have him start tatting my body. My perspective is that it is an art form, and not a work one. Tattoos are more culturally acceptable, and many people have them, and for the most part those who do are not looked down on for having them.

Bottom line: I want one. I want to have something that I designed/drew on my person, something that means so much to me. And besides, it will look cool.

One Response to “Tattoo”

  1. One thing to remember, it is frowned upon in some professions to have visible tats. Teacher is one.

I’m not against them, I have considered doing it, but maybe on the upper arm(bicep) would be a good idea?

If I had to create my own, it would be the first tattoo of a stick figure holding a basketball in one hand and cards in another.
