Group: Mancelona
Last week was so friggin hot we decided a week ahead of time we were going to spend our group time at the lake this week! I don’t remember the name of the lake, but it was sweet! It was north of Mancelona and had a cool floating dock to swim to and mess around on. The coolest part about the lake was the whole other side of the lake was white clay instead of sand! It was sweet! Can anyone say “mud fight!”? We had a blast getting covered in mud! Mike fell so hard his contact popped out! Brandi and I got tricked into falling into some holes we didn’t see and almost lost it! Willie got me bad when I wasn’t looking, so I said the heck with it and went slidding across the clay beach with the rest of the boys – we slid for 20 or more feet easily! It was fun swimming to that side of the lake and back! What a blast! I still had clay in my swim trunks when I got home!
We had planned on meeting there at 4 and having a devotional time in Mark 5, but one of the families was late, so we just decided to swim and have fun with the time we had left! I told Carrina when I got home that I wouldn’t miss my time with that group for the world. We just have so much fun together, and I feel like I am bonding to them more and more. Hopefully when the dust settles in my life I’ll be able to make them more of a priority.
