Joe D, is it time to pull the plug?

Joe Dumars is going to have some tough decisions to make this off season, especially if the Piston’s can’t dig themselves from the almost insurmountable 3-1 hole they have dug for themselves in this Easter Conference Finals.
Ben Wallace is a free agent. Supposedly he wants to play in Detroit, but the way he is [...]

Gamecast

Okay.
I am seriously missing cable TV right now.
I have not seen a playoff basketball game yet.
Bleh.
BUT, I have internet…so I have it on ESPN’s Gamecast, which at least lets me see where each got shot the ball and what is going on, play by play, but it still sucks.

On the journey…

A weekend at Grandma’s

This past weekend my kids went to Grandma’s and spent time with her, their cousin Emma (shorter curly brown hair) and their aunts, Sarah and Amy (the one they are bear-huggin in the last picture). Meanwhile, Carrina and I got away for the weekend to celebrate our 7th anniversary! The two blondes are [...]

"That none should boast"

I have several thoughts that I am working about some of the aspects of a theological system that I was raised (as a Christian) to believe. I want to post them here, but find the time lacking right now (I have a fence to go put in). I also wrestle with why I [...]

"If you talk about it, I’ll deny it!" (I got to it first!)

The unfolding of the journey…

Listening: Learning to listen to God, to our hearts, and to the culture around us.
Submerging: Being the hands and feet [...]

Paul, you sneaky little theolog you!

“All doesn’t mean all all the time.”
Fair enough.
But what happens when “many” means “all”? No big deal. Accept when the “many” (all) is actually “everyone who has and will exsist”. That is to say in a “non limiting” sense…
Romans 5:12 - death spread to “all” men (right, everyone born into this world [...]

Emergents & theology

Grace Baptist’s Theology Pub.
Scot McKnight’s blog.
Mars Hill’s website
New Conversation is into it.
Mark Driscoll’s a theology junkie; he devoted a website to it!
The beat goes on.

One thing we all must learn…

But, this must be learned by all of us: the only thing the Church has to offer to anyone, anywhere, and at any time is Jesus Christ.
Quote by Scot McKnight in a series on Romans he is doing on his blog, Jesus Creed.
